Apply for Partnership Grant Program Funding by June 30

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) has allocated $400,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to assist community-based organizations (CBOs) this year.

The PGP provides 3:1 matches of member contributions to provide grants of up to $12,000 that help promote and strengthen relationships between CBOs and FHLB Dallas members. These grants complement the development activities fostered by FHLB Dallas’ affordable housing and community investment programs.

Members can contribute a cash match of $500 to $4,000 for the 3:1 match, which allows for funding awards of between $1,500 to $12,000. Last year, FHLB Dallas awarded $400,000 in PGP funding and members provided an additional $200,250 in matches for a total of $600,250 awarded.

The PGP applicant is the member institution and the CBO serves as the co-applicant.

To qualify as a co-applicant with a FHLB Dallas member, the CBO must have 501(c)(3) recognition by the IRS and be involved with affordable housing, stimulating small business development or providing small business technical assistance within FHLB Dallas' five-state District. In addition, the CBO cannot have annual revenue of more than $600,000.

The maximum annual FHLB Dallas grant per CBO is $24,000. The maximum lifetime grant available to the CBO is $60,000, excluding grants received during the 2020 special PGP offering.

The application period closed on June 30, and a lottery system will be used to select recipients during the month of July. If a CBO sent multiple applications from different member institutions, all the applications from that CBO will be grouped together and counted as one application for the lottery drawing.
