New Multifactor Authentication Requirement for Members

Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (Bank) members will soon be transitioned to a new login process for SecureConnect that uses multifactor authentication (MFA). Please note that enabling MFA will be required for users to transact business via SecureConnect.

About the MFA Process

A self-migration link, which will provide instructions on setting up an account, will be available on the My Applications page on SecureConnect enabling users to set up MFA, a secure authentication method that, in addition to a password, will require an additional verification method when logging into SecureConnect. Options for the authentication methods include using a mobile phone that can receive text messages and phone calls, via the Microsoft Authenticator app (available in the Apple App or Google Play stores) or direct dial landline phones. If these options are not available when setting up your account, please contact the Bank’s Migration Support team at migrationsupport@fhlb.com or 866.415.1364 to discuss options for your institution and/or users.

To access the My Applications page, visit my.fhlb.com and enter your username, SecurID password and SecurID tokencode when prompted. The new process adds an additional security layer, removes the dependency on a physical RSA token and offers the flexibility to service your own account.

Once you start the registration process, you will receive a notification email with a confirmation code and link from noreply@fhlb.com with the subject line FHLB Dallas – Set Up Multifactor Authentication for Your Account. You will have a two-hour window to establish your preferred authentication method.

All users will be required to set up an MFA account to access SecureConnect. Users who do not set up their MFA accounts by January 15 will not be able to access SecureConnect until their authentication is set up. In addition, if accessing SecureConnect using an outdated browser, such as Internet Explorer, users will not be able to access certain transactional functions. Users will be prompted to update their browser to ensure accessibility.

The Bank has made available on SecureConnect MFA FAQs, a walkthrough video and several other tutorial videos to help you with self-service functions which include updating your email, editing your profile and changing your password.

We ask that you share this member bulletin with staff within your organization who currently use SecureConnect. Thank you for your valued membership in the Bank.

Sincerely,

Sanjay K. Bhasin
President and Chief Executive Officer
