GrantConnect Portal Launching for Member Grant Requests
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (Bank) is excited to announce GrantConnect, a new member portal that will enable members to complete and track applications, as well as upload documentation, for the Homebuyer Equity Leverage Partnership (HELP) and Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP) set-aside grant programs.
Each year, the Bank allocates 10 percent of its pre-assessment income in the form of Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grants. The HELP and SNAP funds are "set-aside" from that amount and used to fund down payment and closing costs for income-qualified, first-time homebuyers (in the case of HELP) and rehab and modification costs for income-qualified households that contain a special-needs resident (in the case of SNAP).
GrantConnect, which will be available beginning January 2, will be your new one-stop shop for preparing and submitting your HELP and SNAP applications. Please note that with the launch of GrantConnect, no HELP or SNAP applications will be accepted via email or fax in 2020. Members will continue to use AHP Online to access and submit AHP grant requests. GrantConnect is available via my.fhlb.com on the Bank's website. In the future, other grant programs will be added to GrantConnect.
The member benefits of GrantConnect include:
- Real-time application feedback
- Ability to track your application
- Reduced need for encrypted files (due to the portal security)
- Document uploading capabilities within the portal
For more information on how to use GrantConnect, please refer to the GrantConnect Recorded Webinar. Please contact Community Investment at 800.362.2944 or ahp@fhlb.com with questions.
Sincerely,
