Bulletin No.: 2014-25

SUBJECT: Business Continuity Program
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (Bank) Business Continuity Program was
instituted more than 26 years ago to ensure members will have uninterrupted
access to funding and other services during a disaster or emergency
The Bank’s Business Continuity Program is periodically updated to reflect and
respond to changes within the Bank and the business environment. The program is
validated annually through testing and practical application.
In the event of destruction or loss of power to the Bank’s main headquarters,
the Bank has a designated recovery facility, which is fully equipped and ready
for use, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In the unlikely event that the Bank experiences a catastrophic event that
incapacitates both its primary and recovery facilities, the Bank has entered
into a reciprocal agreement with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (Chicago
Bank) that provides for liquidity to the Bank’s member financial institutions.
In the event of a disaster that renders the Bank inoperative, members may
contact the Chicago Bank for assistance with funding or wire services, by
calling 855.345.2244, and pressing option 0 or 1.
The Bank hopes that these emergency measures will never be required. However,
the measures were put into place to lessen the potential impact of unforeseen
events on members’ business.
