SUBJECT: Bank Announces 2015 Affordable Housing Program and Partnership Grant Recipients
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (Bank) recently announced our 2015 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) and Partnership Grant Program (PGP) recipients. Through your support of these programs, 965 new or rehabilitated affordable housing units will be created for residents of your communities. Additionally, 25 community-based organizations involved in housing and economic development will receive assistance with their operational needs.
The Bank awarded more than $7.4 million in AHP grants through member institutions to assist 32 affordable housing projects.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of AHP, and with your support and participation in the program, more than $237 million in AHP and AHP set-aside grant funds have been awarded since 1990 to assist low-income families. We appreciate your continued utilization of our community investment grant programs, as we strive to continue to provide programs that meet the needs of our members and the communities they serve. A complete list of the projects to be funded by the 2015 grants may be found at https://www.fhlb.com/community/Pages/Affordable-Housing-Program.aspx.
In addition, the Bank awarded $225,000 in PGP funds through 30 participating member institutions to help 25 community-based organizations with their operational needs. The Bank matches a member's cash contributions to a community-based organization of $500 up to $4,000 at a 3:1 ratio, which this year resulted in $311,200 being awarded to the PGP award recipients.
