FHLB Dallas and Community Bank of Louisiana Support Family-Owned Septic Services Provider with Small Business Boost Loan
MANY, LOUISIANA, July 14, 2026—With demand growing and operational costs rising, Moore Brothers Pumping in Many, Louisiana, turned to a Small Business Boost (SBB) loan from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) to strengthen its operations. The family-owned wastewater and septic services provider used a $19,560 SBB loan provided through FHLB Dallas member, Community Bank of Louisiana, to purchase a truck that supports a key shift in its business model.
“We feel blessed,” said Trisha Moore, administrative assistant for Moore Brothers Pumping. “The SBB program truly answered our prayers. It made our day-to-day operations smoother, cut down on freight costs and gave us the tools we needed to grow. We’re very thankful to FHLB Dallas and to Community Bank of Louisiana for making this possible.”
Founded in 2009 by Randy Moore and his sons, Patrick and Wade, Moore Brothers Pumping provides septic pumping, septic system installation and related services for residential and commercial clients in Louisiana and Texas. Together, the family brings more than 50 years of experience to the industry.
For years, the company relied on contracted drivers to transport heavy concrete septic tanks, a costly expense for the business. When Moore Brothers Pumping approached Tracy Garcie, branch manager at Community Bank of Louisiana, to finance a new truck, she introduced them to the SBB program.
“It was a perfect fit,” said Mrs. Garcie. “The SBB structure allowed us to offer Moore Brothers a lower note and more flexibility while they continue paying off an existing truck.”
Now the company hauls its septic tanks in-house, eliminating delivery fees and reducing scheduling delays.
The SBB program provides participating member financial institutions with funds to finance small business loans, supporting business expansion, equipment purchases and long-term sustainability. Businesses must apply for an SBB loan through an FHLB Dallas member institution.
“Small businesses like Moore Brothers Pumping play a vital role in strengthening the rural communities in which our members serve,” said Steve Otto, head of Member Sales at FHLB Dallas. “Through the SBB, we’re proud to partner with our members to help longtime family businesses continue to grow and support their communities.”
