Nearly $8.7 Million Awarded through the FORTIFIED Fund Rental Program
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (Bank) is pleased to announce nearly $8.7 million in grants through six members in the first year of the FHLB Dallas FORTIFIED Fund Rental Program.
This new program provides grants for FORTIFIED-standard roof upgrades at public housing authority-owned rental properties, helping to further protect communities during severe weather events.
Public housing authorities in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas were eligible to apply for grants of up to $1 million. Awardee properties must be in counties designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency as very, relatively or moderately high-risk for hurricanes, hail, tornadoes or strong winds.
