TO: STOCKHOLDERS SUBJECT: Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP) The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (Bank) is pleased to announce the 2009
offering of the Bank’s Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP), a new
homeownership set-aside program under the Bank’s Affordable Housing Program
(AHP). SNAP grants can be used by member institutions to rehabilitate the
primary single-family residence of homeowners with a special need. Special needs individuals include persons who: - are elderly
- are mentally or physically disabled
- are recovering from physical, alcohol or drug abuse
- have HIV/AIDS
For 2009, the Bank has allocated $500,000 for SNAP. SNAP funds will be
disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis during an annual offering cycle
that will start January 1 of each year and continue until either all of the
funds have been exhausted or December 31 of that year. For more information on SNAP, please visit the Community Investment section
