SUBJECT: 2002 YEAR-END HOLIDAY AND WIRE AND SAFEKEEPING ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE; 2003 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, government securities dealers, the U.S. Treasury, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2002 and Wednesday, January 1, 2003 in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Please make note of the following schedules and deadlines when planning your transactions:

Wires - On Tuesday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 31

• Requests for outgoing wire transfers should be completed no later than 3:00 p.m. CST.
• Notify Wire Transfer staff by 3:00 p.m. CST for all potential incoming wire transfers expected to occur after 3:00 p.m. CST.

Safekeeping - On Monday, December 30 and Tuesday, December 31

• Notify safekeeping no later than 11:00 a.m. CST on Monday, December 30 of all securities due for settlement on Tuesday, December 31.
• We will accept third party pledges no later than 11:00 a.m. CST on Tuesday, December 31.
